A PEEK AT WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS
View photo shoots and outfit ideas and see why so many women become repeat offenders!
Bridal boudoir gift on a wedding day?
You’ve done the shoot. You’ve seen the photos. You’ve picked your favorites.
Now comes the really fun part:
When do you actually give the gift?
Because timing this right? It can take something that’s already meaningful… and turn it into a moment your partner will never forget.
The truth is, there’s no single “perfect” time. It all comes down to your relationship, your vibe as a couple, and how you want that moment to feel.
But here are the most popular (and powerful) ways to do it:
1. While They’re Getting Ready (The Emotional Surprise)
This one is chef’s kiss if you want a reaction.
Picture this:
Your partner is getting ready for the day. There’s a mix of nerves, excitement, anticipation. Maybe they’re with their friends or family, maybe they have a quiet moment to themselves.
And then… your gift shows up.
Wrapped beautifully. Thoughtfully. Unexpected.
They open it, and suddenly everything shifts.
It becomes a moment that’s just for them—intimate, grounding, and emotional before the whirlwind of the ceremony begins.
This option is perfect if your partner is:
Sentimental
Emotionally expressive
Someone who appreciates meaningful surprises
Just be prepared… this one tends to come with reactions. The good kind.
2. A Wedding Day Gift Exchange (Classic + Intentional)
If you and your partner are already planning to exchange gifts on your wedding day, this is a seamless way to include your boudoir album.
It becomes part of a shared moment.
Something you both open, experience, and carry with you into the ceremony.
What makes this option so special is the intention behind it. It’s not rushed. It’s not random. It’s a deliberate pause in the day where you connect with each other before everything begins.
This works beautifully if you want:
A balanced exchange of meaningful gifts
A moment that feels grounded and intentional
Something that fits naturally into your wedding timeline
3. The Honeymoon Surprise (The Slow Burn)
If you’re more of a “save it for later” kind of person… this one is so fun.
Instead of giving the gift on the wedding day, you tuck it away in your suitcase and bring it out during your honeymoon.
No timeline. No pressure. No distractions.
Just the two of you, finally able to exhale after the wedding.
It turns into a moment that feels:
Relaxed
Intimate
Completely uninterrupted
And honestly? Starting your honeymoon with that kind of energy is pretty hard to beat.
Which One Is “Best”?
Here’s the honest answer:
The best time is the one that feels the most like you.
There’s no rulebook here.
Some couples love the emotional build-up of the wedding morning.
Some prefer a shared, structured exchange.
Others want something private and unrushed.
So instead of asking, “What should I do?”
Ask yourself:
Would they love a surprise… or prefer something planned?
Do we want this moment to be emotional, playful, or intimate?
Do I want to experience their reaction right away… or later?
Your answers will point you in the right direction.
A Few Simple Tips to Make It Even Better
No matter when you give it, a few small details can elevate the entire experience:
Wrap it intentionally – This isn’t just a gift, it’s an experience
Add a handwritten note – Something personal always lands deeper
Give them space to react – Let the moment breathe
Because it’s not just about what’s inside the album.
It’s about how it’s felt.
Final Thought: It’s About the Moment, Not Just the Gift
At the end of the day, your boudoir album is already something special.
But the way you give it? That’s what turns it into a memory.
So whether it’s:
A quiet, emotional moment before the ceremony
A shared exchange on the wedding day
Or a private surprise on your honeymoon
What matters most is that it feels real, intentional, and true to your relationship.
Because years from now, you won’t just remember the photos.
You’ll remember the moment they opened them. 💫

Moms, take a break and focus on yourself for once.
Let’s be real for a second.
When was the last time you had a break that was actually… a break?
Not folding laundry while watching a show.
Not answering emails while the kids nap.
Not sitting down for five minutes only to pop right back up.
I mean a real pause. A moment where no one needs you. Where you’re not multitasking. Where you’re just… you.
Because somewhere between snacks, schedules, and showing up for everyone else, it’s easy to lose sight of who you were before motherhood.
And here’s your reminder:
She’s still there.
This Isn’t About Escaping Motherhood—It’s About Reconnecting With Yourself
You don’t stop being an amazing mom by taking time for yourself.
If anything, you become a better one.
Because when you’re constantly pouring into everyone else without refilling your own cup, something starts to feel off. You get tired. Overstimulated. Maybe even a little disconnected from yourself.
Taking a break isn’t selfish.
It’s maintenance.
It’s saying:
“I matter too.”
Start Small: Quick Ways to Reset Your Energy
Not every break needs to be a full day off (although yes, please take that when you can). Sometimes it’s about finding small pockets of time that bring you back to center.
Here are a few simple ways to reset—even on a busy day:
Mindful Moments (Even Just 5 Minutes)
Close your eyes. Take a deep breath. Then another.
You don’t need a full meditation routine—just a few intentional breaths can calm your nervous system and help you feel grounded again.
A Quick Mood-Boosting Workout
This isn’t about intense training. It’s about movement.
A quick walk. Stretching. A short workout video.
Movement shifts your energy faster than almost anything else.
A Little Pampering Goes a Long Way
Light a candle. Take a bath. Put on a face mask. Read a few pages of a book.
It doesn’t have to be elaborate—it just has to feel like it’s for you.
Step Outside for a Reset
Fresh air does something magical.
Even a short walk can clear your mind, lift your mood, and remind you that there’s a world outside your to-do list.
Reconnect With Something Creative
When was the last time you did something just because you enjoyed it?
Writing. Painting. Music. Even organizing something in a way that feels satisfying.
Creativity reconnects you with a part of yourself that often gets pushed aside.
Longer-Term Ways to Actually Reclaim Your Time
Quick resets are amazing—but real change happens when you build space for yourself consistently.
Schedule Your “Me Time” Like It Matters (Because It Does)
If it’s not on the calendar, it doesn’t happen.
Even 30 minutes a few times a week can shift how you feel.
And no—you don’t need to earn it first.
Find Your People
Whether it’s a group of moms, a community, or even just one person who gets it—connection matters.
You’re not meant to do this alone.
Set Boundaries (Without Guilt)
This one is big.
Learning to say “no” doesn’t make you a bad mom. It makes you a sustainable one.
You don’t have to say yes to everything to prove your worth.
Ask for Help When You Need It
If things feel heavy, overwhelming, or just off—it’s okay to talk to someone.
Support isn’t a weakness. It’s a resource.
And If You Want to Go Bigger… Do Something Just for You
Sometimes the most powerful thing you can do is step fully out of your routine and into something that reminds you who you are outside of motherhood.
Something like:
A solo day out
A weekend away
Or even a boudoir session
Because experiences like that don’t just give you a break…
They give you a reset.
They remind you:
You’re still confident
You’re still vibrant
You’re still you
Final Thought: You’re Allowed to Take Up Space Too
You spend so much of your life showing up for others.
Being needed. Being relied on. Being everything for everyone.
But you are not just a mom.
You are a whole person—with needs, desires, creativity, and identity beyond that role.
And you deserve time to reconnect with that version of yourself.
So this is your permission slip:
Take the break.
Book the thing.
Do something that feels good for you.
Because when you come back?
You don’t just return refreshed.
You come back stronger, more present, and more like yourself again. 💫

What if you found your moms boudoir photos?
A few weeks ago, I had a lovely client. She wanted to do this forever and was inspired by HER GRANDMA. This woman was so proud of her photos; it's a joke she will have them hanging at her funeral. 😆 Honestly, she sounds like a rad lady. 🙌🏼
But what if you found your mom's book? What would you think? Would it be a proud moment, or would you close it so fast and run in the other direction?
I would think WOW, Mom did that. And she did that despite the era she grew up in. Now, in 2024, boudoir photos are still a little taboo. But can you imagine the stigma behind it in the 80s?
The "youngest" client I have had the pleasure of photographing was 78. It was for a couple's boudoir session, and her husband was 80. (THAT IS A WHOLE OTHER STORY 😅) The love they had for each other was unreal. If I can only be so lucky. 🥹
In the end, will we regret not having done it? Will we wish we would have just did the damn photoshoot? Who knows. I know for myself I still have my bucket list of random things that scare the hell out of me. I still want to go to Machu Picchu, but I am terrified of the language barrier. I tried to face my fear when I was 12, by going to Italy. I ended up LOST, without my tour group. In some miracle feat, I literally ran into an American on a bike (we crashed into each other), and I told him what I remembered about my hotel. It was next to a roundabout, a bus station, and a Mcdonald's. I made it back, and I didn't die. But can you see why I have a fear of traveling to foreign countries?
In the end, boudoir photography is an adventure. A thrilling and fun one. ❤️ If this is something you have put off for years, let's chat.

Self-Care Isn't Selfish: 3 Ways to Prioritize Yourself and Ditch the Burnout Cycle!
Feeling constantly drained, like you're running on fumes? You're not alone! Many of us struggle to prioritize self-care, leading to burnout, resentment, and neglecting our well-being. But here's the secret: taking care of yourself is not selfish, it's essential.
Here are 3 ways to break the cycle of burnout and prioritize your well-being:
1. Identify Your Needs: Take time to reflect on your individual needs. Do you crave quiet time alone, or do you recharge through social connection? Are you energized by physical activity or creative expression? Understanding your unique needs is the first step to creating a self-care routine that truly nourishes you.
2. Schedule Self-Care, Not Just Work: Treat self-care like any other important appointment. Block time in your calendar for activities that replenish your energy, whether it's reading a book, taking a relaxing bath, or spending time in nature. I myself have been putting a fun thing on the schedule for 3 months out. So far comedy shows have been thee best “medicine”
3. Practice Setting Boundaries: Learn to say "no" to protect your time and energy. Don't feel obligated to take on additional responsibilities that leave you feeling drained or stretched too thin. Setting healthy boundaries allows you to prioritize your well-being and avoid burnout.
Remember, you are worthy of prioritizing your well-being. Taking care of yourself is not an act of selfishness, but an investment in a happier, healthier, and more fulfilling life!
This babe scheduled her session after realizing her life wasn’t her own. She started fresh and is finding herself all over again. ❤️
Starting Over
Last week, I talked with a woman starting over. She didn't initially tell me what she was starting over from, so I politely asked what she was starting over from.
She just left an 8-year relationship. Breaking free from a toxic relationship is a courageous feat, and the journey toward healing is not for the weak at heart. It doesn’t happen overnight, it doesn’t happen in months, it happens over time.
This babe took a leap of faith, and left. She had no idea what was next, but she knew it was going to be better and I applaud her for that.
I will keep you posted on her shoot, ominously, of course.
Acknowledge and Accept the Reality: The first step is acknowledging that you're in a toxic relationship. This can be difficult, as it involves accepting that someone you care for may not be treating you with the respect and care you deserve. Emotional abuse is often subtle, so it's important to be honest with yourself about the situation.
Build Your Support System: Breaking free from a toxic relationship is rarely easy, and having a strong support system is crucial. Lean on trusted friends and family members. Consider therapy to help you process your emotions, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and gain strength for the journey ahead.
Develop a Safety Plan: Leaving a toxic relationship can be dangerous, especially if your partner is abusive. Create a safety plan for yourself and any children involved. This may include securing important documents, having a safe place to stay, and developing a code word with a trusted friend to signal when you need help.
Remember, breaking free from a toxic relationship takes time and courage. Don't be afraid to seek help from professionals and prioritize your well-being. There is a brighter future waiting for you.
You're Not Getting Boudoir Photos. You're Getting the Photo That Changes Everything.
Most women don't book a boudoir session because they feel beautiful.
They book it because they've spent years not feeling that way — and some part of them is finally tired of waiting to.
That's the thing nobody says out loud about boudoir photography. It's not for women who already love how they look in photos. It's for women who've never loved a photo of themselves in their life. Women who crop themselves out. Who turn away from the camera at family gatherings. Who say "I'm not photogenic" like it's a fixed fact about who they are.
Those are exactly the women I photograph. And those are the women who cry at their gallery reveal.
Not because the photos are beautiful — though they are. Because for maybe the first time, they're looking at themselves and thinking: oh. That's what I actually look like.
Here's what I've learned after years of doing this in the Bay Area:
The nervousness doesn't mean you're not ready. It means you care. Every woman who has ever walked into my studio has been nervous. The ones who come in most convinced they'll hate the photos are almost always the ones who end up ordering the album.
The difference isn't confidence. It's direction.
I don't ask clients to "just be themselves" in front of the camera — that's the fastest way to make someone feel awkward and exposed. I direct every single shot. I tell you where to put your hands, how to angle your shoulder, when to hold still and when to let go. You never have to think. You just follow my lead, and the photos look like you've been doing this your whole life.
Because in my studio, you have.
A boudoir session isn't about becoming someone else for a day. It's about slowing down long enough to see who you already are — in good light, with someone who knows how to find your best angles and isn't going to rush you.
The photos last. But what most women tell me stays with them even longer is the moment they saw themselves differently. Not thinner. Not younger. Just seen.
If you've been thinking about this — and something tells me you have — that's enough of a reason.
Book a free 15-minute call here. We'll talk through everything before you commit to anything.
And if you want to see what a real session looks like before you decide, watch behind-the-scenes footage here.

Non Lingerie Ideas
A boudoir photo shoot is all about capturing intimate and sensual moments, and there are plenty of options for attire that don't involve lingerie. Here's a list of non-lingerie ideas for women to wear during a boudoir photo shoot:
Bodysuit: A form-fitting bodysuit can be just as alluring as lingerie and offers various styles and textures.
Silky Robe: A luxurious silk or satin robe can be draped seductively to tease the viewer's imagination.
Men's Dress Shirt: Wearing an oversized men's dress shirt can create a sensual, "borrowed from your partner" look.
Sweater: A cozy, oversized sweater can add a touch of comfort and intimacy to your photos.
Button-Down Shirt: Unbuttoned or partially undone, a button-down shirt can create a playful and revealing look.
Off-the-Shoulder Top: An off-the-shoulder blouse can be both elegant and sensual, showing a hint of skin.
Corset: While not traditional lingerie, a corset can offer a vintage and sophisticated vibe.
Lace or Sheer Bodysuit: These options are a bit more conservative than traditional lingerie but still provide an alluring appeal.
Tulle Skirt: A flowing, sheer skirt can add a touch of fantasy and whimsy to your boudoir shoot.
Oversized Sweater or Cardigan: Snuggling up in an oversized knit can create an intimate and cozy atmosphere. This is one of my personal favorites!
Crop Top and High-Waisted Panties: This combination is stylish and comfortable, with a hint of sensuality.
Vintage-Inspired Outfits: Consider retro dresses, lingerie-inspired camisoles, or high-waisted briefs for a vintage aesthetic.
Lace Kimono: A lace kimono or kimono-style robe can be both elegant and sensual.
Thigh-High Socks: Pair them with a long shirt, oversized sweater, or even a casual tee for a playful look.
Sports Jersey: If you or your partner have a favorite sports team, wearing their jersey can add a personal touch to your shoot.
Ultimately, the choice of clothing for a boudoir photo shoot should reflect your personality, comfort level, and mood you want to convey in the photos.

Think about your skin and tan lines: We want you to feel and look flawless in your photos. A weekend away on the beach, paired with drinking means your skin will suffer. And you will most likely be dehydrated.
Your wedding day is a whirlwind of emotions, joy, and celebration. But amidst the vows and festivities, there's also a unique opportunity to create a truly personal and unforgettable moment with your soon-to-be spouse. Here are 5 perfect times to surprise your partner with a special gift that goes beyond the "something borrowed, something blue":
1. The Getting Ready Suite: Imagine the nervous excitement as you both prepare for the ceremony. Present a heartfelt gift like a framed photo collage of your relationship, a handwritten letter expressing your love, or a piece of jewelry engraved with a special message. It sets a loving tone for the day.
2. Before the First Look: Nerves are high, anticipation is building. This is the perfect time for a small, intimate gift exchange. A personalized watch engraved with the wedding date, a custom cufflink set with a meaningful inscription, or a delicate bracelet symbolizing your everlasting bond are all thoughtful choices.
3. During the Ceremony Vows: This is a powerful moment where your love story takes center stage. Surprise your partner by incorporating a symbolic gift into your vows. It could be a promise ring representing your commitment, a framed artwork reflecting your shared passions, or even a handwritten book of love poems you've penned yourself.
4. Private Moment During Reception: Steal a quiet moment amidst the dancing and celebratory chaos. Present a gift that celebrates your partner's individuality. A weekend getaway to a dream destination, tickets to a concert they've been wanting to see, or a personalized gift basket filled with their favorite things all showcase your attentiveness and care.
5. The Grand Exit: As you leave the celebration hand-in-hand, surprise your partner with a final, sentimental gift. Sparklers spelling out a loving message, a framed photo of the two of you on your first date, or even a custom-made song played by the band are all grand gestures that end your wedding day on a truly personal and unforgettable note.
Remember, the most meaningful gift doesn't have to be extravagant. It's about injecting a personal touch into your wedding day and creating a lasting memory that celebrates your love story.
My boudoir session 🙌🏼
Boudoir is for YOU.
I can’t tell you how many times I have heard the phrase I want to give a boudoir shoot to my partner for their birthday, anniversary, special occasion, etc. At the end of every boudoir session each babe says, “Wow, this was really for me!”
My session last fall with Dollhouse Boudoir was 100% for me. It’s been a ROUGH few years, to say the least. And I am 50 pounds heavier than I was a few years back among many other life changes.
But guess what? I love love love these photos! I also love how tan I am too 😜 To date, this is my
2014: Trying to get my mom mojo back.
2016: Celebrating losing 15 pounds.
2017: Celebrating losing another 15 pounds, however, a week after I booked my shoot I found out I was pregnant! So in the photos I was 12 weeks along and my photographer made it look like I wasn’t pregnant!
2018: I did this session 8 weeks after I had my second child: to prove a point that boudoir is beautiful at any size. And my milk boobs were amazing. 😜
2020: I had this shoot booked for February 2020. I had some personal stuff pop up so I had to reschedule for later. And then, you know the world collapsed. Between February and June when my session took place, I gained 20ish pounds. Guess what? STILL LOVED THEM. I felt like one hot momma ready to take on the world!
2022: My most recent one is below. Scroll to the bottom to see everything over the years!

Scheduling a Consultation
Once you have narrowed down your list of possible boudoir photographers, the next step is to schedule a consultation. Taking some time to meet and discuss the logistics with a photographer may reveal details that cannot be found through researching online. This will also give you the opportunity to get to know them better, ask questions about their experience, and learn how comfortable they make you feel so that you can choose the most suitable photographer for your boudoir photography session.
Questions to ask before booking
During the consultation or meeting, ask questions such as what style would they prefer shooting and if they have an idea of the type of photos you are interested in. Also, make sure to discuss pricing and payment arrangements, ensure that their timelines fit within your own, and inquire about any additional services offered (such as prints, albums or digital files). Ask for a portfolio of work and review the photographer’s online galleries before making a final decision.
How long until I receive my finished products?
Are they digital only or printed? Albums?
When do the shoots take place? Weekdays? Weekends?
Do you have a studio, or do you shoot in my home? Or an Airbnb? Are they indoors at a studio? Outdoor on location? Will the public be watching?
I hope this guide helps you in your hunt for the perfect photographer for you. Cheers! Tiffany
Time for a change
This babe has done shoots before in the past: but never for herself. This time it was 100% about her. She loves Marilyn Monroe, so we did a throwback to that era. I think she killed it!
Hollywood glamour boudoir photography is all about creating a vintage, sophisticated, and seductive look. Here are some ideas to help you achieve that Hollywood glamour boudoir vibe:
Classic Hollywood hairstyle: Consider styling your hair in vintage Hollywood waves or a sleek updo. You can also add some hair accessories such as a hair comb, a hairpin or a hairband.
Bold makeup: For a glamorous look, opt for bold makeup with a red lip, winged eyeliner, and dramatic lashes. You can also add some highlighter to give your skin a glowing finish.
Glamorous lingerie: Choose lingerie that is elegant and sophisticated, such as a vintage-style lace bra and panties or a silk slip. You can also accessorize with stockings, garter belts, and high heels.
Art deco inspired set: For your boudoir photo shoot, consider a set design that is inspired by the art deco style of the 1920s and 1930s. This could include geometric patterns, metallic accents, and luxurious fabrics.
Vintage props: Incorporate vintage props such as a feather boa, a vintage telephone, a record player, or an antique mirror to enhance the Hollywood glamour theme.
Soft lighting: Create a soft and romantic mood by using diffused lighting or natural light. Consider using lamps, candles, or fairy lights to add warmth and ambiance to your boudoir photos.
Remember that the most important thing is to feel comfortable and confident in your skin. These ideas are meant to inspire you and help you create a glamorous and memorable boudoir photo shoot.
